Job Title - Political Risks Underwriter
Contract - Permanent
Salary - 45000 - 65000
Location - London
Industry - Insurance Company (Political Risks,Trade Finance, Structured Commodity Finance or Project Infrastructure)
new role has arisen with one of our most highly recognised clients who seek a Political Risks Underwriter to join their expanding team in London.

The role has become available due to growth as the team have too many enquiries to deal with and need a new team member to hit the ground running.

Generate PRI opportunities from existing broker market contacts as well as support internal cross selling and key account client initiatives
Work to further develop the brand and visibility within the UK Political Risk Broker Market
Underwriter and assess opportunities, prepare triage/underwriting memos and lead triage meetings on Political Risk transactions in line with the business scope and guidelines set for the PRI division
Manage and ownership of the pipeline and aggregation systems
Look to develop specialization in industry classes, product areas and underwriting expertise through continuous training.
Work with the team to develop systems, processes and evaluate expansion of current PRI product offering.
Provide support to senior management for internal and external presentation and stakeholder meetings (both domestic and abroad)
Prepare information and attend client meeting as well as site visits (both domestic and abroad)
Support the group risk management, products team and the underwriting office with PRI specific information requests
Role Requirements

Minimum 5-7 years Underwriting experience of Political Risk Insurance (experience in other credit business lines such as Trade Finance, Structured Commodity Finance or Project Infrastructure would also be a plus)
Sound knowledge of the PRI products and strong market contacts
Proficient in wording and contract review and negotiations
Fluency in English required (written and oral), other languages a plus.
Additional language skills and experience of working in a multi-cultural and cross-functional environment would be beneficial
Organized, systematic working manner with the ability to work independently or take direction in a team environment as necessary
Good communication and presentation skills with the ability to work well with other teams and business lines across the CorSo global network
