Job title: Claims Handler
Salary: £35,000

Purpose of role:
We’re pleased to be supporting our client in their search for an enthusiastic, skilled, and committed Claims Handler to join their team. Your role entails providing top-notch, professional guidance to clients on any claims matters. Your main responsibility involves collaborating with insurers and relevant parties to streamline the claims process. You thrive on exceeding client expectations and take pride in your expertise, managing claims from start to finish effectively.
Key responsibilities:
Keep your clients informed and engaged by providing timely updates on relevant developments throughout their claims process.
Ensure utmost customer satisfaction by regularly evaluating claim statuses with clients, insurers, recovery agents, and solicitors.
Capable of offering sound technical guidance to clients throughout the entirety of their claim.
Be recognised for your ability to inspire, empathise, and effectively manage client expectations.
Maintain transparent communication with your Line Manager regarding any issues, inquiries, or areas of concern that may arise.
Continuously expand and maintain your knowledge of the market, insurance, legislation, and other technical aspects relevant to your role.
Efficiently manage claims and ensure that all pertinent information is accurately documented in the system.
Prioritise workload to serve clients while demonstrating exceptional administrative skills and a commitment to task completion.
Keep insurers and recovery agents updated on any additional information acquired during the claims process.
Ensure the accuracy of claims statistics and adhere to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Qualifications:
Cert CII/Dip CII would be an advantage.
Must be educated to GCSE standard or equivalent.
Experience:
Sound knowledge within the insurance industry and expert claims handling focus.
Strong customer service drive along with good planning and analytical skills.
Ability to spot potential risks and seek advice when required.
Applies due diligence and process adherence accompanied by high accuracy and attention to detail.
Good communication and interpersonal skills and takes initiative when assisting team members.
Proficient in MS Office
