We are currently working with a big name in the insurer market on a Commercial Combined Underwriting opportunity and are keen to speak to people who have experience underwriting commercial cases across mid-market commercial lines, whilst managing and developing client relationships.

This award-winning insurer is already a major brand in the UK insurance market demonstrating a stable footing in terms of premium generated number of employees, policy count and market reputation.

The Role:

• Profitably underwrite Commercial Combined on a case-by-case basis, within appetite and underwriting criteria.
• Underwrite within strategy and authority limits and refer all cases outside of strategy or individual limits.
• Develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with colleagues and brokers as well as identifying new opportunities within our network.
• Attend training, review meetings and social events when required.
• Working closely with senior management to support more junior members of the team

Experience:

• Proven combined underwriting experience
• Strong understanding of the commercial insurance market
• Portfolio management experience
• Strong technical underwriting capability
• Excellent diary management
• Excellent communication skills
