We are currently working with a big name in the insurer market on a Senior Motor Trade Underwriting opportunity and are keen to speak to people who have experience underwriting motor trade business, whilst managing and developing client relationships.

This award-winning insurer is already a major brand in the UK insurance market demonstrating a stable footing in terms of premium generated number of employees, policy count and market reputation.

The Role:

• Profitably develop and underwrite bespoke commercial lines motor trade risks within underwriting criteria, regularly underwriting on site in broker offices.
• The collection and delivery motor trade account for the region
• Develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with a panel of Mid-Market brokers as their nominated development relationship underwriter for motor trade products
• Developing and supporting the commercial lines account by engaging and encouraging new and existing relationships with regional brokers
• To prospect and actively contribute to the growth targets of the team optimising sales and retention.

Experience:

• Proven motor trade underwriting experience
• Strong understanding of the commercial insurance market
• Portfolio management experience
• Strong technical underwriting capability
• Excellent diary management
• Excellent communication skills
