Job Type - Permanent
Salary - GBP35,000 - GBP40,000

To act as an Analyst in a multi-disciplinary function which (may) encompass technical pricing, claims reserving, data analytics, visualisation and data administration. The primary role outcome being the enhancement of underwriting decisions to sustain and maximise underwriting performance through overseeing/maintaining existing Data Store while liaising with key business stakeholders on a daily basis. You will be responsible for the development, maintenance and support of Business Intelligence applications and reporting. The role will provide appropriate coaching and development to our clients staff and ensure best practice initiatives for all analytic functions.

Candidates applying for this role must have worked in agile environments, have knowledge of data modelling and ETL processes using SQL Server tools.

Manage monthly load processes to ensure the delivery of accurate and timely data to key stakeholders
Support the collection and maintenance of pricing/reserving data
Support exposure and accumulation control methodologies. Download, refresh, query and integrate third party peril data sets
Provide support to underwriting teams on data queries and enhancements. Recommend initiatives to enhance underwriting profitability. Measure impact of underwriting actions, rate change, renewal retention, new and lost business
Provide support to team members when SQL expertise is required
Develop/maintain ETL (SSIS) packages to load data into SQL databases to ensure the delivery of accurate, clean data to key stakeholders
Upload risk and claim Bdx within ISO 27001 environment
Recommend initiatives to enhance and streamline existing processes
Ensure accuracy, timeliness, reporting and documented procedure for workflow management
Keep abreast of industry initiatives, new visualisation methods and best practice
Develop/enhance new/existing dashboards using PowerBI platform or similar
Optimise database integrity, scalability and security
Ensure data quality is to the highest standard, reconciled and fit for purpose
Identify opportunities that can improve efficiency of business processes
Act in accordance with agreed service standards and report complaints effectively in line with the companies professional standards manual
Act as a role model to others for conducting business in accordance with the company ethos and values and in an ethical manner & comply with our clients Professional Standards Manual
Strong A levels / degree in computer science, information systems, mathematics, statistics or related field
