About the Role
Understand the Aon United agenda, support it actively and drive mindset change within the team.
Support initiatives, contribute to and participate in GBC- and Aon-wide groups, committees, ad hoc project teams or other bodies as necessary
Proactively cross-sell risk management, claims and other products and services to new and existing clients
Be a grower, connector and storyteller
Thought Leadership
Build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the best and the GBC are brought to clients and prospective clients
Continually develop broader leadership responsibilities for supporting the talent excellence agenda and the apportioned regulatory risks
Act as a representative of and spokesperson, the GBC and the business to the market, clients and the network.
People & Culture
Act as a role model of AIM and as an ambassador of the GBC
Manage any direct reports, ensuring that theirs and own objectives are aligned with the overall business strategy, that performance is satisfactory, and any necessary action is taken to continually to develop capability as future leaders.
Provide technical advice and guidance to more junior colleagues.
Adhere to performance management and training and competence processes within the team and that actions arising from these processes are implemented in a timely manner.
Support the development of resourcing plans for the team to ensure that the business is able to attract, retain, develop and motivate the appropriate number and calibre of staff to deliver its business objectives and targets.
Adhere to all HR processes and dates
As part of the developing GBC leadership team work with the relevant individuals/teams to drive a sales and service culture and ensure we have high performing teams in place
Coach and mentor direct reports where appropriate, to support personal and professional development in the high-potential population, supporting retention, engagement and succession plan aims.
Define marketing strategy (specific to placement)

Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure all FCA regulations and internal compliance requirements are adhered to in a timely manner
Promote all compliance related requirements throughout the area and identify opportunities for process improvement.
Ensure all agreed practices and tools are actively and consistently applied.
Lead by example by ensuring own activity complies with regulatory requirements and business procedures
Responsible for ensuring colleagues are actively involved in raising awareness of non-conformances and ideas for improvements

About you

Your knowledge and expertise:

Typically, CII qualified
Ability to interpret and use data effectively
Strong analytical expertise
Sound understanding of London insurance market dynamics and core processes
Excellent technical insurance knowledge, Upstream Energy
Ability to use insurance industry IT systems to efficiently deliver client service
Experience of managing effective client relationships
Good problem-solving skills
Good interpersonal skills
Good level of numeracy
Effective communication and presentation skills
Good understanding of compliance and FCA regulation
Ability to work well as part of a team
Demonstrate integrity and professionalism
