Job Description


Role: Claims Broker - Italian Speaking
Location: London
Salary: GBP20,000 - GBP25,000
Industry: Claims, Italian Speaking, Borderaux, ECF

-Processing and monitoring claims, loss reserves and bordereaux via ECF
-Undertaking any required broking or negotiation of specific losses
-Reconciling paid claims to bordereaux
-Dealing with issues relating to claims or accounts
-Using ECF and CLASS
-Proactively monitoring underwriters agreement and addressing any queries
-Liaising with Xchanging Technicians, Clients, Underwriters, Loss Adjusters and TPAs (attending meetings when required)
-Updating paper files and electronic data
-Dealing with Bureau / XIS enquires
-Daily use of A&S systems
-Compliance with Procedures and Regulatory requirements
-General administration
-Maintain required records, reports, and files in an organised manner and present these to senior management as and when required.
-Dealing with any ad hoc duties
-Maintaining up to date diary system and tracking systems
-Manage written claims reporting procedures
and Experience
-1 year claims experience within a broking company in servicing Binding Authority Business and OM
-Knowledge of the practices and processes of the Lloyds, London and International insurance markets.
-Knowledge of using ECF and CLASS
-Knowledge of claims processing
-Knowledge of London market operations
-Experience and understanding of the insurance classes of business in which the post holder is to specialise.
-Knowledge of the legal principles governing insurance
-Knowledge of the regulatory framework governing insurance brokers
-Knowledge of and fluency in personal computer operating systems/application software (e.g. Microsoft Windows; Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel; Microsoft Outlook)
-Participate in and undertake applicable professional, technical and career development training (delivered internally and externally) to include attainment of associated qualifications where required.
-Operate as an effective team member by supporting colleagues and contributing in the delivery and achievement of overall team and business objectives.
-Undertake any other duties that the company may reasonably request to be performed.
-Liaise with relevant areas and groups within the company as appropriate for the role.
-Where applicable ensure company, market and client related documentation is issued (internally and externally) accurately and on time.
-Comply with external and internal regulatory and statutory policies, procedures and regulations.
