The Role:-

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Commercial Account Executive to join a well-established and reputable insurance brokerage. You will have the benefit of an existing book of business.
Duties:-

To grow a profitable portfolio of commercial clients through cross-sales of existing business, networking and referrals, through using own relationship building skills to engage clients.
To ensure that the company provides a professional, prompt and efficient service to customers
To observe the regulations issued by the FCA and other governing bodies
To observe and promote the values of the group and to act at all times to achieve positive outcomes for the clients and stakeholders
A collaborative and innovative approach to working
Act with integrity at all times when working with stakeholders
Knowledge of underwriting criteria, rating, terms and conditions
Extensive knowledge of commercial lines products
General knowledge of the Insurance market and legislation requirements
Proficiency in customer care and sales
A competent level of knowledge of the internal computer systems and procedures.
A competent level of knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet Explorer and Outlook
Good written, oral and communication skills
Demonstrate negotiation and influencing ability
To manage the relationship between the business and new and existing customers, generating new business and renewal income to meet monthly and annual targets
To generate business through referral, marketing and leads, networking, telesales, preparing reports and presentations to prospective clients in order to secure the business.
Use of appropriate Advertising/Marketing methods
Competitor analysis/awareness
Monitoring success rates
To develop successful & profitable relationships with both clients, insurers, suppliers and group companies
To facilitate the efficient handling of all commercial lines insurance policies and help to make a significant contribution to a quality focused customer service, thereby helping to deliver profitable growth of the business and achievement of other common business goals and to ensure all clients are treated fairly at all times
To attract new business by identifying and exploiting opportunities in the local market
To develop and maintain good working relationships with clients and insurers introduce new products and promote them through regular visits and communication
To increase the profitability of existing product lines by encouraging clients to use added-value services wherever possible
To deliver good customer service by responding swiftly to queries and concerns from clients.
To monitor and report on performance against agreed sales targets

Role Requirements:-

ACII or DIP CII qualification preferred but not essential;
Commercial experience essential
Client facing experience is a requirement;
Computer literate;
Knowledge of sales processes within relevant market;
Good product and technical knowledge;
Ability to work in a team/team player;
Excellent communication, time management, negotiation, presentation and relationship building skills;
Self-motivated and resilient;
Account management skills.
