    Job title: Commercial Account Executive – Book of Business to inherit 

    Salary:  £70,000 – £80,000

    Location: East Midlands (highly flexible – 1 day office based) 


    PURPOSE OF ROLE  

    My clients, a global commercial Insurance Brokerage are seeking an experienced Commercial Account Executive to  join their established and growing corporate Commercial team.

    This role represents an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Account Executive to join one of the leading teams in the region and inherit a sizeable book of corporate clients.  You will act as the primary point of contact for clients, offering expert advice and managing a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts. This role is focused on fostering long-term relationships, driving new business opportunities, and ensuring client satisfaction through exceptional service and risk management strategies.

    You will ideally have extensive insurance industry experience, and also the desire to achieve your objectives and keep your clients at the heart of all that you do


    SKILLS 

    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain client relationships
    • Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities
    • Ability to assess client needs and provide tailored insurance solutions
    • Proficiency in CRM systems and insurance-related software
    • Organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
    • A proactive approach to business development and client retention

    EXPERIENCE 

    • Proven experience in a commercial insurance or account management role, preferably in a brokerage or underwriting setting.
    • In-depth knowledge of commercial insurance products, policies, and risk assessment.
    • Professional qualifications such as Cert CII/Diploma CII (or a willingness to work towards these certifications).
    • A track record of meeting sales targets and delivering exceptional client service.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • Managing a portfolio of commercial clients, ensuring their insurance needs are met effectively
    • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and insurers
    • Identifying opportunities for cross-selling and upselling insurance products and services
    • Preparing and presenting tailored insurance solutions to prospective and existing clients
    • Negotiating terms with insurers to secure the best coverage and rates for clients
    • Ensuring all account documentation is accurate and compliant with industry regulations
    • Meeting sales and retention targets while delivering excellent client service
    • Keeping up to date with industry trends and developments to provide informed advice
