PURPOSE OF ROLE

Are you an experienced underwriter seeking an exciting new opportunity? Our client, a leading and forward-thinking insurer, is looking for a Senior Development Underwriter to join their team. In this role, you will build strong relationships with brokers and client and drive sustainable growth through strategic underwriting.

DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Underwrite and grow a profitable book of business
• Develop and maintain broker and client relationships
• Analyse risk exposure, ensuring competitive pricing and coverage
• Stay updated on market trends and regulatory changes
• Contribute to process improvements and product development

EXPERIENCE

• Proven experience in senior development underwriting
• Strong commercial underwriting and risk assessment background
• Success in managing broker relationships and driving growth
• Knowledge of market trends and regulatory requirements

SKILLS 

• Strong technical underwriting and risk assessment skills
• Excellent relationship management and negotiation abilities
• Commercial acumen to identify and seize business opportunities
• Clear, effective communication and analytical thinking
