    Job title: Commercial Account Handler

    Salary: £35,000

    Location: Gloucestershire


    PURPOSE OF ROLE 

    We are pleased to be working with a respected insurance company to recruit an Account Handler to join their growing team. You will manage client insurance portfolios, ensuring excellent service and tailored solutions. Working closely with Account Executives, you’ll handle client needs efficiently while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and professionalism. Your role focuses on client retention, relationship management, and operational support.

    EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS 

    • Experience in account handling within the insurance industry
    • Knowledge of commercial insurance products and markets
    • Proficiency in insurance platforms and client management systems
    • Understanding of FCA regulations, Consumer Duty, and compliance requirements
    • ACII qualification is a plus or willingness to pursue it
    • Experience with Acturis or similar systems – desirable

    DAY-TO-DAY 

    • Handle client queries and provide expert insurance advice
    • Process renewals, endorsements, and policy updates
    • Collaborate with Account Executives and insurers on client negotiations
    • Stay informed on regulatory and market developments

    • Knowledge of commercial insurance products and markets
    • Understanding of FCA regulations and compliance requirements

    RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • Handle inquiries, build relationships, assist with policy renewals, and provide expert insurance advice
    • Process policies, review documentation, and maintain accurate client records.
    • Secure optimal terms and premiums for clients
    • Ensure adherence to FCA regulations and industry standards
    • Work with colleagues to enhance service, share knowledge, and mentor team members
