Job Title – Commercial Underwriting Training Manager
Contract – Permanent
Location – Home based – United Kingdom
Salary – GBP45,000 

Our client is looking for a Mid-Market Technical Trainer to join their team; to lead, design, ensure delivery of their Mid-Market technical training capability plan and supporting delivery of their Target Operating Model Underwriter of the Future vision focused on the provision of workshop and other learning experiences.

Youll be based at one of their existing commercial underwriting locations. Your highly collaborative working style will make it easy for you to work closely with your key stakeholders. When normality returns your time will be split between working from home and working at one of our commercial branches.

Main Responsibilities:

– Creation and delivery of an agreed volume of mid-market focused workshops/learning experiences addressing key areas requiring technical capability enhancement combining creation, co-ordination and facilitation as appropriate to the subject matter and own technical expertise
– Creation and delivery of a range of mid-market learning opportunities and tools addressing technical capability development, including case studies, webinars and assessments
– Develop and maintain a detailed knowledge of the Development Passport ensuring learning produced is mapped accurately and aligned specifically to mid-market. Provide recommendations for further population of the Development Passport
– Provision of technical assistance, accuracy and quality control in relation to the production of e-learning modules
– Maintaining and enhancing familiarity with technical training priorities and developing greater detail on key issues introduced into training content proposed as applicable
– Be recognised as a key contact point for mid-market technical training queries from allocated branches acting as an advocate, providing advice on availability of material and possible next steps for bespoke enquiries
– Support Technical Training Manager in management of company initiatives, building understanding and resource bespoke and ongoing tasks

Qualifications

– Experience in commercial insurance and specifically mid-market segmentation client
– Technical underwriting knowledge across a wide range of classes of insurance
– Ability to co-ordinate, organise and prioritise own workload managing dependencies
– Ability to influence at all levels in the organisation
– Understanding of UK and Group learning, development and talent structures
– Knowledge of the professional bodies within insurance and financial services
