Job Title: Commercial Placement Broker

Location: Hertfordshire 

Salary: £50,000 – £60,000

Type: Permanent

Our client is currently looking to recruit a Commercial Placement Broker which is home based working between two offices. The role requires the handling of the accounts of several corporate clients on behalf of Client Directors.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

• Preparation of renewal and new business presentations in line with agreed timescales
• Resolution of customer and insurer queries
• Marketing of risks to insurers
• Processing of all necessary documentation for new, existing and renewal business
• Attendance at customer meetings as required
• Assessment of clients demands and needs at both inception and renewal of general insurance
• contracts.
• Preparation for and attendance at internal sales and management meetings as required.
• Liaising with colleagues in Operations and Accounts to achieve resolution of any issue within
• agreed timescales.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word & PowerPoint, and ideally previous use of Acturis
• Ideally ACII/DIP CII
• Good knowledge of key Commercial/Corporate classes inc:

• • Construction
  • Bonds
  • Motor Fleet
  • Property Owners
  • Professional Indemnity
  • Management Liability Risks
  • Motor Trade
  • Commercial Combined
  • Marine
  • Particular emphasis on Construction ideally
  • Premiums – generally £15,000 – £750,000
