P&C Development Underwriter

Job Title – Development Underwriter

Contract – Permanent 

Salary – £50,000 – £60,000

Location – London

Industry – Insurance (Insurance, Underwriting, Commercial)

A highly regarded name in the market is seeking an experienced Development Underwriter to become part of their London underwriting team.

This role will be responsible for underwriting various commercial cases whilst ensuring you develop and manage client relationships. The role is also responsible for offering support and experience to the rest of the underwriting team.

Responsibilities include:

• Working with a team of underwriters to ensure profitable growth in the branch
• Underwrite the larger, more complex cases
• Generate pipeline with your panel of London brokers
• Act as a referral point within the team
• Work with the branch manager on the setting and execution of the underwriting strategy
• Grow and develop lasting relationships with brokers and third parties within the region

Requirements:

• Experienced Commercial Underwriter – P&C
• Good understanding of the London commercial insurance market
• Excellent relationship management
• Excellent communication skills
