Job Title – Senior Development Underwriter

Contract – Permanent 

Salary – £50,000 – £60,000

Location – Birmingham

Industry – Insurance (Insurance, Underwriting, Commercial)

A highly regarded name in the market is seeking an experienced Development Underwriter to become part of their Midlands underwriting team.

This role will be responsible for underwriting specialist commercial/PI cases whilst ensuring you develop and manage client relationships. The role is also responsible for offering support and experience to the rest of the underwriting team.

Responsibilities include:

• Working with a team of underwriters to ensure profitable growth in the branch
• Underwrite the larger, more complex cases
• Generate pipeline with your panel of  brokers
• Act as a referral point within the team
• Work with the branch manager on the setting and execution of the underwriting strategy
• Grow and develop lasting relationships with brokers and third parties within the region

Requirements:

• Experienced PI/Commercial Underwriter 
• Good understanding of the London commercial insurance market
• Excellent relationship management
• Excellent communication skills
