Assistant Underwriter – US PI

Job Title – Assistant Underwriter – US Professional Indemnity

Contract – Permanent 

Salary – £35,000 – £40,000

Location – London

Industry – Insurance (Insurance, Underwriting, Commercial)

A highly regarded name in the market is seeking an Assistant Underwriter to join their worldwide division with a focus on US professional liability.

Our client is looking for someone with a basic understanding of international/US PI who is looking to progress and grow within one of the best names in the industry.

Responsibilities include:

• Working with a team of underwriters to ensure profitable growth
• Negotiate rates and T&C’s for both new and existing business
• Demonstrate understanding and awareness of the market to ensure business performance
• Work closely with key brokers and business partners to build and grow relationships
• Contribute and participate in all meetings in order to share and develop strategy and knowledge

Requirements:

• Understanding of international/US PI insurance – broker or insurer/MGA side
• Good understanding of the London commercial insurance market
• Excellent relationship management
• Excellent communication skills
