Job Title – Assistant Underwriter – Professional Indemnity

Contract – Permanent

Salary – up to £32,000 DOE

Location – Manchester (flexi working is available)

A highly regarded name in the market is seeking an Assistant Underwriter to join their expanding PI team in Manchester

This is an exciting role for someone with a Professional Indemnity background (insurer or broker side) who is looking to expand their knowledge within a fast growing team.

There is a strong progression plan in place for this role to progress to the next level within 12-18 months for the right candidate.

Responsibilities include:

• Working alongside senior underwriters on various Professional Indemnity cases
• Develop and maintain relationships with brokers and 3rd parties
• Underwrite cases within own authority
• Manage own caseload of existing business cases ensuring book profitability
• Attend broker meetings 

Requirements:

• Professional Indemnity experience is essential (either UW or broking capacity)
• Have a good understanding of the PI market
• Excellent management skills
• Excellent organisation skills
• Excellent relationship management
• Excellent communication skills
