Job Title – Trainee Engineering Loss Adjuster- (Claims & Adjusting)
Contract – Permanent
Salary – £25,000 – £30,000
Location – Northern Ireland
As a Trainee Engineering Adjuster, you will have the opportunity to be trained and managed by our clients experienced adjusters to assist with engineering claims in both Northern and Southern Ireland, with scope to support the wider team. You will be working both externally & internally assessing engineering claims, & adjusting where appropriate, calculating & agreeing settlement of claims, & preparing final reports
You will be managing a mixture of high & low value engineering claims, mainly consisting of Contractors Plant, Renewable Energy and Agricultural Machinery. Carrying out Investigations primarily on the island of Ireland with travel to the UK mainland on occasion.
This will include: receiving, acknowledging and dealing with new claims, building relationships with Clients and colleagues, preparing case management plans, visiting the Insured, Brokers, Claimant, Claimant’s representative, Insurers, Re-insurers & Retained Experts
You’ll be responsible for preparing reports commenting on detail on all aspects of the claim, including policy analysis & liability, quantum & future actions, visiting sites, interviewing witnesses & preparing witness statements where required, There’s also the opportunity to work in partnership with other divisions, instructing & controlling forensic scientists & other expects as appropriate
Developing working relationships with existing clients & helping to identify & plan approaches to new clients with be key to your success, as well as good organisational skills in maintaining and updating files & records keeping fully up to date on any technical or legal changes that may have a bearing on a case.

- A recognised Mechanical/or Electrical Engineering qualification
- A willingness to achieve industry qualifications
- Strong communication, skills, both written & verbal
- Excellent customer service, organisation & communication skills
- Full Driving licence
