Regional Commercial Underwriter

Job Title – Regional Underwriter 

Contract – Permanent

Salary – £50,000 – £55,000 + Car + Bonus + Benefits

Location – Various locations available UK wide (South East, North East, North West, South West, East, Northern Ireland) 

Industry – Insurance (Insurance, Underwriting, Commercial Underwriter, Commercial Insurance)

Due to growth and expansion, a highly regarded name in the industry is seeking experienced commercial underwriters to join a NEW Regional Underwriting team.

The team is responsible for working onsite with their panel of brokers, offering technical expertise and guidance on various MID-MARKET commercial cases, work with them on large/complex portfolio reviews and help ensure profitable growth within the region.

Responsibilities include:

• Support brokers to ensure profitable growth
• Develop and maintain relationships with brokers and clients
• Offer technical guidance on the larger, more complex risks
• Account and portfolio reviews for larger clients
• Be involved in broker performance reviews with the wider business
• Train and support brokers to ensure they understand any changes within the UW criteria or industry changes

Requirements:

• Commercial underwriting experience is essential
• Strong understanding of mid-market insurance 
• Strong technical knowledge and experience dealing with large, complex risks
• Excellent management skills
• Excellent organisation skills
• Excellent relationship management
• Excellent communication skills
