Job Title – Senior Development Underwriter – Professional Indemnity

Contract – Permanent

Salary – £80,000 – £90,000 + Bonus 

Location – Manchester – Flexible working is available

A highly regarded name in the market is seeking an experienced underwriter to join one of their specialist London Market teams underwriting Professional Indemnity on a new business basis. The role will be suited to someone with a strong technical understanding of the PI market and who has dealt with large, complex risks generally £10k GWP and upwards.

Responsibilities include:

• Underwriting PI insurance on a case by case basis with premiums generally being £10k+
• Act as a referral point for larger, more complex risks within the London Market 
• Develop and maintain relationships with brokers and third parties
• Be known in the Manchester market as the face of PI for the business
• Work closely with other areas of the business to ensure profitability and growth
• Ensuring targets are being worked towards across various areas including GWP, conversion and retention

Requirements:

• PI underwriting experience is essential 
• Have a good understanding of the PI/Financial Lines market
• Excellent management skills
• Excellent organisation skills
• Excellent relationship management
• Excellent communication skills
