Job Title – Commercial Underwriter – New Business

Contract – Permanent

Salary – £35,000 – £45,000

Location – Manchester – Flexible working is available

A highly regarded name in the market is seeking an experienced underwriter to join their new business team. You will be responsible for underwriting various specialist commercial lines, acting as a referral point within the team and dealing with the larger, more complex accounts.

This is an exciting role for someone with a commercial underwriting background who is looking to join a well regarded insurance company who are in major growth mode.

Responsibilities include:

• Underwriting various new business cases in line with the wider business strategy
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with brokers and third parties
• Ensuring profitability within the region
• Act as a referral point within the team for the larger, more complex risks
• Provide mentoring and coaching to other members of the team

Requirements:

• Commercial underwriting experience is essential
• Have a good understanding of the commercial insurance market
• Excellent management skills
• Excellent organisation skills
• Excellent relationship management
• Excellent communication skills
