Job Title – Senior Construction Client Executive
Contract – Permanent

Description: A market leading specialty business servicing all aspects of the construction and infrastructure sector both in the UK and overseas. Client base includes some of the UK’s largest developers in the commercial and residential sectors, as well as some of the most iconic and notable construction projects currently underway in the UK. The role: Client Executive We are seeking an experienced senior insurance professional to join the Owners and Developers team to provide a wide range of insurance advice to UK based developers and project owners in connection with all aspects of their project insurance requirements. In addition, the candidate will assist in servicing the annual programme requirements of a portfolio of existing developer clients. The Client Executive will work within a highly skilled team with unrivalled experience in serving major developers and project owners. The successful candidate will be joining a team that operates at the highest level of professionalism and insurance knowledge within their sectors, which will provide a solid platform for career development and learning within the specialty environment.

- You will work closely with some of our major clients, developing an in-depth knowledge of their business and managing their insurance needs as well as developing good client relationships
- You will build on your significant insurance and industry knowledge and manage relationships with our broking and claims teams along with other support colleagues
- You will participate in our ongoing team training programme as a recipient and contributor as may be appropriate
- You will have responsibility for management / training / nurturing of a number of more junior staff / direct reports

We will rely on you to: Place business:
- Collect and analyse risk information and claims data, produce underwriting submissions, review and update wordings
- Assist in planning broking strategy and broke into the UK insurance markets (in conjunction with our market leading broking team) to assess the responses from insurers and prepare insurance recommendation reports to clients
- Oversee the issuance of documentation including agreed wordings, placing slips, endorsements, certificates, insurance manuals and minutes of meetings
Day to day service:
- Contract reviews – review of indemnity and insurance provisions of wide variety of UK construction contracts
- Site visits – meetings with client and insurers’ risk surveyors
- Client presentations – primarily focused on CAR/PL/PI/LDI
- Provide technical insurance advice on a wide variety of challenges that face our clients
- Regular liaison with clients post placement throughout the annual or project period and responsibility for overall service delivery Claims Service
- Monitor claims progress
- Support our claims colleagues with on major / complex claims and provide advice on claims strategy and appropriate actions
- Prepare and attend claims review meetings
New Business:
- Identify new business opportunities
- Assist our new business development team to secure new business
What you will need to have:
- Proven insurance experience within the Construction sector
- Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and confidence to develop strong relationships with senior level client contact points
- Knowledge of Annual insurance programmes
- Knowledge of project specific insurance programmes
- Technical competence in CAR/PL/EL/PI/LDI classes of insurance
- CII part/fully qualified (or equivalent) preferred
