Broking Manager

Job Title – Insurance Broking Manager

Contract – Permanent

Salary – £50,000 – £60,000

Location – Essex

Role:-

Commercial Broking Manager required to initially work alongside the Owner of an established insurance brokerage with the plan for the successful candidate to run the business in 1 -2 years. The current owner is looking to step down from their duties. The role will be working on their commercial book of clients which is over £2M GWP. The team currently consists of 4 staff.

Duties:-

• Team management
• 1-2-1’s
• A motivational individual required to drive the team forward
• General broking operational activities
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with existing client accounts
• Identify cross selling opportunities
• Deal with incoming New Business enquiries
• Generate New Business enquiries by asking existing clients for referrals
• Provide broking and administrative services to clients
• Manage renewal process placing cover on best terms where appropriate in accordance with client’s needs.

Requirements:-

• Seeking an experienced individual with good technical experience in the commercial and personal lines sectors who will be able to move into a management position in the next few years. This is a single branch operation which is part of a wider group
• Personal Lines experience is advantageous but not essential. There will be some operational management of the personal lines division

• Knowledge of General Insurance market and regulatory framework

• Detailed knowledge of a core range of policies to commercial and personal customers
• Problem solving and analytical skills to identify the root cause and resolve obstacles
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Strong relationship and influencing skills are essential to provide focused client insurance solutions
• Relationship building
