Job Title – Trading Underwriter – P&C

Contract – Permanent 

Salary – £35,000 – £45,000

Location – Leicestershire (East Midlands Region)

A highly regarded name in the market is seeking an experienced P&C Underwriter to join their Birmingham team who will be responsible for driving business in the East Midlands area, dealing with mid-market cases on a new business basis.

Responsibilities include:

• Underwrite P&C business across the mid-market arena
• Build and maintain relationships with brokers across the East Midlands region
• Offer underwriting support where needed
• Depending on experience you may be called upon as a branch referral point for larger, more complex risks
• Assist lower level underwriters on a technical basis

Requirements:

• Commercial underwriting experience is essential
• Good understanding of mid-market level cases
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Excellent relationship management
• Excellent communication skills
