Senior Underwriter – P&C Renewals

Job Title – Senior Renewals Underwriter – P&C

Contract – Permanent

Salary – £45,000 – £65,000 DOE

Location – St Albans – Hybrid working available

Industry – Insurance (Insurance, Underwriting, Commercial Insurance)

A highly regarded name in the market is seeking an experienced underwriter to join the St Albans brach underwriting renewals business. You will be responsible for the day to day underwriting of various commercial cases, including the larger more complex risks that are on the books.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced underwriter to take that next step working for a company who are big players in the regional insurance market.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop and maintain relationships across your broker panel within the region
• Underwrite mid-market and corporate commercial cases on an existing business basis
• Handle referrals and the larger, more complex cases in branch
• Work closely with other areas of the business on large, complex accounts
• Mentoring and coaching other members of the underwriting team
• Support other areas of the business on a technical level
• Ensure retention targets are being met within the branch

Requirements:

• 5+ years P&C underwriting experience is essential
• Have a good understanding of the commercial insurance market
• Excellent management skills
• Excellent organisation skills
• Excellent relationship management
• Excellent communication skills
